I’ve used Totemic birds’ to represent a sense of nonconformity and scorn. It’s an unseen agency overseeing and somehow glorifying this horrible psychodrama which is life. The bird of prey kills, but is also alluring. It watches with its glinting obsidian eyes, scrutinizing and scornfully judging all that happens under its gaze.
